The bond market recorded a turnover of TZS 186.28 billion across numerous deals during Week 16, representing a 33.86% increase compared to Week 15’s TZS 139.15 billion. Government bonds continued to dominate trading activity, with strong investor interest across various maturities reflecting confidence in long-term government securities. Meanwhile, corporate bonds maintained steady activity, indicating ongoing investor appetite despite market fluctuations.

Week 16 saw mixed index performance at the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE). The All Share Index (DSEI) declined by -0.83%, while the Banks, Finance & Investment Index (BI) rose slightly by 0.02%.
