Arusha Coffee Lodge Receives Special Award

Tanzania’s Arusha Coffee Lodge was recently recognized in Travel + Leisure, World’s Best Awards, as a top lodge in Africa and the Middle East.

Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards are determined through an audience vote based on a number of indicators including, safari operations, guides, staff, accommodations, food, and overall value.

The Arusha Coffee Lodge, located at the base of Mount Meru, is part of a series of hotels and lodges in East Africa known as the Elewana Collection.

The lodge was designed around an original, 20th century home and offers a comprehensive look into Tanzanian culture, history, and topographical diversity.

A walking tour of the working coffee estate gives guests the opportunity to learn about harvesting and roasting, as well as to sample some of the fresh coffee.

Jason Barry, Director of Marketing, Media, and Communications at the Elewana Collection, remarked that in a region dominated by safari operators, the Coffee Lodge was honored to have been selected for such an award.
