TanTrade
The Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE) is a public institution under the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade responsible for the promotion and development of trade in Tanzania.
Established under the TANTRADE Act No. 4 of 2009, the Authority facilitates domestic and international trade by supporting Tanzanian businesses to access markets, improve competitiveness, and participate in trade promotion activities.
TANTRADE operates the official Tanzania National Trade Portal, which provides up-to-date trade-related information and procedures for importers, exporters, and investors.
The Authority also organizes the annual Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), one of the largest multi-sectoral trade events in the region, held every year from 28 June to 13 July.
In addition to trade facilitation and promotion, TANTRADE provides training to traders, including capacity-building programs on the use of the trade portal, regulatory compliance, and export readiness.
The Authority works closely with both public and private stakeholders to enhance Tanzania’s participation in regional and global trade, with a focus on supporting SMEs and value-added exports.
