The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) has been recognised as the Best Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) 2026 in the Africa Region at the AIM Investment Awards in Dubai.
The award was presented during the Gala Dinner of the AIM Congress 2026, a leading global investment platform that brings together international leaders, policymakers, business executives, and investors to drive economic growth and cross-border partnerships.
TISEZA was recognized for its strong performance in attracting and facilitating foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, and for its ongoing efforts to improve investor facilitation and support the successful establishment and implementation of investment projects in Tanzania.
The award was received by Ms. Felista Steven Lelo, Member of the TISEZA Board of Directors, on behalf of the Director General of TISEZA.
TISEZA explains that the award represents an important milestone for the Authority and reflects the impact of Tanzania’s ongoing reforms to strengthen the investment environment, streamline investor services and position the country as a preferred destination for productive and sustainable investment.
For TISEZA, the recognition goes beyond institutional achievement. It strengthens its credibility on the global investment stage and provides further momentum to attract quality investments that contribute to industrialisation, technology and skills transfer, export growth, job creation, and wider economic transformation.
It also reinforces TISEZA’s commitment to delivering efficient and investor-focused services, developing competitive Special Economic Zones and ensuring that investments attracted into Tanzania translate into tangible economic and social benefits for the country.
Already in 2025, TISEZA was recognized among the world’s leading investment promotion agencies at the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) Investment Excellence Awards 2025.
